This Month’s Theme: Novel
This month we’re partnering up with Lit Arts RI (Formerly What Cheer Writers Club) to explore everything Novel. A huge thank you to Providence Arts, Culture, and Tourism for sponsoring this event so we can be in the Providence Public Library after hours!
- What novel experiences have you had within your communities?
- What new and unique mediums are you working with?
- Did you write a full out novel for NaNoWriMo?
Sign up to present: www.pechakuchapvd.org
Doors open at 7:20pm and presentations kick off at 8:20pm.
Parking: It’s downtown baby! You should be able to find abundant street parking within walking distance.
Seating: The theatre at PPL has plenty of cozy seating for you.

But Wait, There’s More!: PPL will have some goodies from their makers lab on display. Button makers, giph-o-graph machines, and more!
PechaKucha Providence is built and sustained by our community. Thank you to our venues, vendors, and volunteers make this magic happen each month. Thank you to the Providence Tourism Council for supporting us in spreading the word about what we do.
What is PechaKucha?
If you haven’t heard of this global yet unpronounceable phenomenon, PechaKucha is a monthly format for sharing ideas in which presenters are allotted 20 slides and 20 seconds per slide. Simply put: it’s 6 minutes and 40 seconds of show and tell for grown-ups. It began in Tokyo in 2003, has since spread to over 1,200 cities worldwide, and first landed in Providence in March of 2009. To the best of our knowledge, Providence is the only chapter in the entire world that hosts a PechaKucha Night every month of the year.
