Named best event in Rhode Island by RI Monthly! \n\n\nThis Month’s Theme: Novel\n\n\n\n\nThis month we’re partnering up with Lit Arts RI (Formerly What Cheer Writers Club) to explore everything Novel. A huge thank you to Providence Arts\, Culture\, and Tourism for sponsoring this event so we can be in the Providence Public Library after hours! \n\nWhat novel experiences have you had within your communities?\nWhat new and unique mediums are you working with?\nDid you write a full out novel for NaNoWriMo?\n\nSign up to present: www.pechakuchapvd.org \n\n\n\n\nDoors open at 7:20pm and presentations kick off at 8:20pm. \nParking: It’s downtown baby! You should be able to find abundant street parking within walking distance. \nSeating: The theatre at PPL has plenty of cozy seating for you. \nFood and Beverages: Trinity Brewhouse will be on site pouring your favorites. \nBut Wait\, There’s More!: PPL will have some goodies from their makers lab on display. Button makers\, giph-o-graph machines\, and more! \nPechaKucha Providence is built and sustained by our community. Thank you to the Providence Tourism Council for supporting us in spreading the word about what we do. \n\n\n\n\nWhat is PechaKucha?\n\n\n\n\nIf you haven’t heard of this global yet unpronounceable phenomenon\, PechaKucha is a monthly format for sharing ideas in which presenters are allotted 20 slides and 20 seconds per slide. Simply put: it’s 6 minutes and 40 seconds of show and tell for grown-ups. It began in Tokyo in 2003\, has since spread to over 1\,200 cities worldwide\, and first landed in Providence in March of 2009. To the best of our knowledge\, Providence is the only chapter in the entire world that hosts a PechaKucha Night every month of the year. \n\n\n
